2002-2009年我国各层次的高等教育经历了大规模扩张,硕士研究生也不例外。硕士研究生教育的科类结构不仅影响着我国高等教育结构,而且还会对社会需求和产业结构调整产生重要影响。我国硕士生招生规模的扩张呈现出速度快的特点,且教育学和文学在各学科中所占的比例有较为明显的上升,而工学所占的比例有所下降,备学科硕士研究生招生比例的变化反映着社会需求的变化。  相似文献

自高中历史实施新课改以来,在实践与理论探索中取得了显著的成就。由于教材中将学术争鸣的成果引入教材中,因而对高中历史教材的编排产生了影响。现行高中历史四套教材中对＂封建＂概念表述迥异,这涉及学术争鸣与教材编写之间的关系。将学术争鸣的问题与研究成果引入教科书,不仅可以体现教材编写中多视角、多层次的特点,而且可以为学生在学习过程中提供更为广阔的空间,同时也应当兼顾中学基础教育的普遍规律,保证知识结构体系的合理、有序。  相似文献   

Departments in Academic Receivership: Possible Causes and Solutions

This article explores the concept of academic receivership in U.S. colleges and universities. Academic receivership occurs when control of an academic department or program is removed from the faculty and an outside chair is put in place by the college or university administration. A literature review is supplemented by a small survey to assess how common receivership is and how it is administered. Combined, these elements allow for a discussion of the warning signs that a department is becoming dysfunctional and a procedure to guide a department through the receivership process.

In this article, the author explores the ways in which several schools in the New South Wales Independent sector have created learning teams to develop the pastoral capacity of schools. The focus of the work in schools, through the Community Change Project, has been on learning and psycho-social development as the domain of all teachers, in all classrooms. The project has led to the development of the notion of Academic Care. College Students' Study Strategies as a Function of Testing: An Investigation into Metacognitive Self-Regulation

We conducted the present study to investigate whether college students adjust their study strategies to meet the cognitive demands of testing, a metacognitive self-regulatory skill. Participants were randomly assigned to one of the two testing conditions. In one condition we told participants to study for a test that required deep-level cognitive processing and in the other to study for a test that required surface-level cognitive processing. Results suggested that college students adjust their study strategies so that they are in line with the cognitive processing demands of tests and that performance is mediated by the study strategies that are used.Margaret E. Ross is an Associate Professor of Educational Measurement and Statistics at Auburn University. She earned her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Kansas. Her research interests include the role assessment plays in influencing student learning strategies, assessment issues and policy, and educational program evaluation. Samuel B. Green is a Professor in the Educational Psychology Department at Arizona State University. He holds a Ph.D. in Measurement and Individual Differences Psychology from the University of Georgia. His research focuses on statistical procedures. Jill Salisbury-Glennon is an Associate Professor teaching Educational Psychology courses at Auburn University. She earned her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Pennsylvania. Research interests include college student self-regulation, metacognition, and motivation. Nona Tollefson recently passed away.
